Happiest Moments…

“One of the happiest moments ever, is when you find the courage to let go of what you can’t change or control.”    ~author unknown

Today, Thursday November 1st 2018 brings a new morning with new beginnings. When I sit and think and reminisce on the things that have been, what was, is here and how now … I am quickly reminded of all the blessings we have been given and bestowed.  Wow.  It totally brings tears from my heart to my eyes.  The family we have, blood bought and sins forgiven and still being blessed with blessings upon blessings.

As I woke before 5 am this morning … I had to search hard for some joy.  My love for early mornings disappeared and who knows where any liking that early went.  So, I decided I could be a tiny bit productive without having to talk to anyone and headed to make the hubby some coffee before he got out of the shower. And then of course, he has a hug, smile and chipper “good morning.” :o)  You really can’t deny love when it is so lovable.  He quickly went on his way for work for the day.  Hours passed and I found myself going through photos on my cell phone. Man oh man.  The thought of not being happy slapped me so hard.  I scrolled every social media account and returned back to my own photos.  Jesus speaks to my heart so often and so clear.  All my fears and failures continue to be forgiven.  Our God is mighty to save. Jesus conquered the grave, He can move mountains, He is the author of salvation. He is Mighty to Save! As I turned on the Jason Crabb Pandora Channel … Hillsong began to sing this song … another wow wow wow moment.  As of 10:30 am I have had numerous calls and texts already just to see how I am doing and that I am thought of.  So, the thought that lingered was “posting photos to prove blessings when confined to my home.”

I picked up the phone once again to look at the notifications … the voice of truth proves we do not have to be unhappy, afraid or anything less than happy and blessed. With no matter what comes in and goes out of our mind … remember the voice of truth. Jesus always tells the right story. I have tried three times to add photos so you can see what I was reminded of. In every hardship, there is a piece of joy and happiness.  This I know is true.  “I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth. Jesus is the voice of truth.”  Casting Crowns

🙂   Happy Happy Birthday Uncle Stephen Vance.  We always pray and remember November 1st. We were blessed with an uncle, aunt and some family  down in south Texas and we are grateful in getting to celebrate this day for him.  Wisdom comes from those who trod the journey before us.

This is one of the photos from our Branson trip mentioned in the previous blog.  Table Rock Lake aboard the lunch cruise.

Hope you all have a greatly blessed day! Stay tuned. I will be bringing a couple recipes here this afternoon. It is fall ya’ll.  My favorite time of the year.  Also, I will be sharing a few photos (if they will ever upload) and some history from Capital Hill and our History.

Peace and Blessings!
